Gobsmacked about the Royal Wedding

Is anyone else excited about the Royal Wedding on Friday.

I am.

I've been glued to the TV watching all sorts of specials on William and Kate and also a repeat of Charles and Diana's wedding in 1981. I too was married in 1981 and remember the excitement. That was before VCRs, PVRs...

We had to get up really early to watch.

I just programmed the Wedding Special starting at 3:00 am Friday morning. The Wedding actually starts at 6:00 am EST (11:00 am GMT on London). They even have a website.

Oh the excitement. The dress. The flowers. The kiss. The fascinator hats! It takes me back 30 years, puffy sleeves and miles of wedding dress. All that's missing is Princess Diana. She'd be thrilled.

I know, I'm a bit of a romantic but I love the Royals. The Queen is also the Queen of Canada and no matter what she's still a great lady.

Okay - you're not allowed to hate me but I just don't care...no idea why....prolly cuz I'm too busy whining about not being able to wear makeup. LOL

I need to get the DVR set. I'm going to be up in Denver, hopefully sleeping in and shopping post wonder-fill.

Oh how I wish that we still had our Satellite and DVR's!!! If I want to see it (and I DO!!), then I either have to stay up all night (which knowing me, isn't too hard to do so long as Walt doesn't get up and make me go to bed!!), or watch what I can of it in reruns.... :(

I'm so excited! My friends and I are even having a high tea Royal Wedding Party to watch it. We're dressing up and everything :) I'm a self confessed royalist. It's so nice to have something nice happen in the world! Also can't wait to see the dress!

I was there in 1981 too Sandy but will be DVR'ing this one! So excited for them! Maybe it will give you some ideas for your daughters wedding?

I can't wait! Thanks to my mom feeding me People magazine since age 4, I've always been a Royal watcher, and Diana? Oh, my..she was my dream princess. I Can't WAIT to see the dress and the pageantry! I watched the Wedding special on NBC last night.

I was actually planning to get up at 3:00am ET to watch all of the coverage before the wedding, but then common sense prevailed and I will use the dvr.

I've been watching as much of the wedding week coverage as I can. I love all of it!

I'm interested in her dress, and the pageantry, which is always good. But with the exception of the Queen and Edward (so far) previous royal weddings haven't lasted, and I suppose being a divorcee myself I'm a bit cynical about it. Our office cleaner is setting the alarm for 6 a.m. to make sure she doesn't miss anything. I'll probably turn on the telly at 10.15 or so.

I'm with Draz, I can't really get myself to care all that much-- though when it came up on my Yahoo, OF COURSE, I had to see the dress.
Am I wrong that I am SO jealous of Kate Middleton's skinny-ness. The angry girl comes out in my to see that skinny bitch of a princess (sorry.)
I only mean that in a 'funny /angry' kind of way.
And I'm very glad you're enjoying all of the pageantry. Viva la difference!!

Hope you're doing well on the eating front... I know you'll turn those blood tests around.
