Going Shopping

I have a date. With my daughter. On Sunday, September 12th at the Mall. To shop for some cute clothes. She told me it was better that I buy a few clothes now so I feel better and not wait for the proverbial “end” which may be later rather than sooner.

She has warned me that I have to try on the stuff she chooses. So if I look like a floozy in Chicago, it’s all her fault. And if I look rather cool for an old lady… Well that will be her fault too.

And Drazil made me do it. She’s bringing like 14 suitcases of clothes. I’m not sure if I can even fill one!

I’m still up a couple of pounds and just finished French Fries for lunch. Not feeling guilty, just fat. Why is it that we can lose a lot of weight and still feel fat? And NSV. Even though I feel fat my DH walked by me last night and told me I looked skinny!

Thus the fries. As Robin mentioned in today’s post: "Back to our regularly scheduled eating tomorrow".

I overate some polenta on Sunday and I went to bed feeling "so fat" and it was like all my lost weight came flooding back to me. The feeling of "fat" doesn't really change whether your 125 or 225, does it?

Good luck on the shopping spree!! I think your daughter is right, enjoy the journey and the fun clothes that come with it. Can't wait to see the pictures!!

Someone seriously better do a slide show of all the BOOBS wear in Chicago for those of us who can't make it...

Only advice I can give.. wear comfortable shoes.. I tried the fashion diva thing on Monday and my feet were absolutely killing me.

Dude - I did not make you become a floozy - oh wait, maybe I did. You can stand by me in my snakeskin shoes - I'm gonna be totally floozified!

Hi Sandy,

How have you been??? That sounds sooo much fun, shopping with your daughter. I would LOVE to have my daughter (22yo) help me pick out some new things. It would be interesting to see what I ended up with. lol. I hope that you will take pics for those of us not going to Chicago (sniff, sniff)...can't wait to see what you end up with. And I am sure you will be stylin'!

Not too many clothes, Sandy. We need room in our room for my clothes.

Have fun shopping.

Sounds fun! I hope you found some stuff that you liked too, and weren't just forced into by your daughter! It must feel great to buy smaller clothes!
