Back to IKEA. I wandered through the store and ended up at the cafeteria. I decided to order the kids plate of meatballs, which is 5 meatballs with tomato sauce and a lovely mound of mashed potatoes. It did say for those under 12 but I guess they thought I had a kid stuffed in a chair in the back. Tasty little bites and now I am stuffed. What a difference from a year ago, when I could have polished off the plate of 20 meatballs and pasta. I'm thanking the band. I have been stuck at 179 for 2 weeks now and am hoping my weight drops tomorrow.
I've also been keeping up with my trainer, although she took it easy on me yesterday since I had a stomach ache from being stuck on Monday night. I didn't tell her about the band. Only that I had a hiatus hernia repair last February. Anything to get out of doing crunches. But we worked hard on arms and shoulders and legs. I even tried the rowing machine and love it.
Hope you all have an enjoyable evening my lovelies.

thanks to "the Band" my new best friend. Meat balls? good Idea. I do think it is the hot temp.
yummy your kid meal sounds delecious!!
Not the Swedish variety, but girlfriend...I live half my life eating mini meatballs from BJ's...10 minis equal 400 calories and that's usually my caloric allotment left by the time I get to dinner...love 'em.
Another little something we have in common.
Got to love Ikea and their prices are AWESOME!!!
Good job working with a trainer and avoiding those crunches. :)
You can do crunches, you big wuss! Get on the floor and give me 20!!
Does the Ikea kid's meal come with a toy??
Oh boy what good restraint you have.. I would have walked out of the store with more than meatballs.. and I think I am right there with you with crunch avoidance. me no like to crunch!
My band has kept me from overdoing temptation more than once.
Good for you keeping up with the training. I am right there with you. I only went 2 x this week due to heavy schedule with work/family visiting.
God I want to try a rowing machine. I think I'd love it. IKEA has food??? For real? I thought they only sold furniture?
I agree-even on my tightest day I can eat a few Ikea meatballs with Lingonberry jam and gravy..yummmmmy. The mashed potatoes are a killer though. I haven't been able to eat more than a bite or two of them since my first fill.
Once I stopped downstairs at the quick food counter (where the hotdogs lurk :))...they sold just meatball in a cup with a toothpick. It was the perfect size for my band. I have noticed though that they don't always have them there.
Good work with the trainer.
That sounds delish! Unfortunately, I do not have an Ikea near me!
I think you're on to something with the heat. I've been fairly tight lately and have to eat very slowly and chew, chew, chew to get a cup of food in.
Closest IKEA is over an hour away but that meal looked yummy!!!
I was right there with you getting a good workout!! My trainer focused on upper body last night and lordy be that kicked my ass, but don't you feel good today??
I have to come clean, though. I've never stepped foot in an Ikea. The nearest one is about 1 1/2 hours away :(
Well done on your workout, as you know, I told my trainer the same thing!
Mmmm I love IKEA food. I'm so Scandinavian. Nice work with the trainer!!!
Yummy!
I love Ikea!
Cocktail size meatballs are my best band staple food. I eat em for lunch or dinner several times a week. All kinds of sauce, marinara, tomato cream, BBQ, teriyaki.
Oh and on the back of my surgeon's business card, he has a little blurb for me to show at restaurants that says "To Owner/Manager, (my name hand-written), patient, has had recent stomach surgery and his/her stomach will hold only 2 oz of food. We request that he/she be allowed to purchase a child's/senior meal or a meal at a reduced rate."
It's pretty cool.
I keep saying the exact same thing...6 months ago I would have had two adult size portions! All I order now are appies on the menu...
